Many of us shoot adapted lenses. However, we are unable to input the lens name into the lens name field.
I would like to be able to go into a page or pull down menu and select lens names for all selected items. If the name doesn't exist, then I should be able to add a new lens name. I want to be able to select a hundred photos at a time and make this particular change to all of them at once rather than the way it is now where I have to do a repeated change on each photo.
I don't have an alternative. I'm currently accumulating thousands of photos with no lens name or aperture number or any exif information. If I want to change the exif to say it was shot with a 400mm, I have to do this manually one photo at a time even though I can select hundreds of photos at once. If would be nice if we could select many photos at once and also apply repeated changes to all selected photos at once including the ability to select the lens name from this custom list of lenses I own. probably each name of the list should have a series of capabilities for example if I input name:Zuiko 50mm f1.4, then maybe there should be a list of available f stops... f1.4, f 2, f3.5, f4, f8, f16, f22. These for example are very common to most manual lenses but there are more. Similarly should have have a list of available zoom or zoom ranges like 24mm to 105mm for those manual lenses that are manual zoom and for photos taken with manual cameras that do not have exif. Finally the exposure and the shutter speed. The ISO could be manually set to 100 (or I used a manual camera with ISO 100 film), or 800 etc, while the speed could be 15 seconds or 1/250s. I think some of these are already there, but currently I have to literally type that info up hundreds of times if I want to change it. It makes the ability null.
