Feature: Created/Modified Column in Notes overview list #841
Comments
Thank you for your suggestion, but why would you want that? The way that list currently works you wouldn't even be able to resize the columns and that columns would take a lot of space. There would be a lot of complains... At the moment the modification date is shown as hint on the note in the list. |
This is just a matter of sorting / searching in a large list of notes, it may help to locate notes. Maybe you did not recognize, that your great tool may be used for more than you originally planned. I am using this among other things as a journal. Including the date in the header is a current work around but meta info should should be kept separate. I understand that the internal structure does not allow a simple implementation. |
This would be a very nice feature to have, to be able to toggle or show the Date modified column in the list, and then and to be able to click on that column to instantly sort it ascending and descending. Sort of related to this, also be able to toggle other columns like tags or even the parts of the first line of the note. I've imported over 7000 of my text files from nvALT/notational velocity, and to be able to see the tags and the first line of the note would be really nice. |
I agree with the above - adding some columns for other fields like tags, date modified similar to explorer would greatly improve usability. You could compress the folders and tags into a single tree window on the left |
Writing in to add my voice to this request. Resophnotes implements this without any real difficulty in screen real estate, as per this image: https://domstechblog.wordpress.com/2014/04/03/resoph-notes-windows-app-review/ |
