Description
I have installed the extension and libgtk-4-media-gstreamer, but selecting the video does nothing.

OS and Shell Information
Please provide your OS name and version, GNOME Shell version, and the session type (X11/Wayland).

  • OS: Ubuntu 22.04
  • GNOME Shell: 42.9
  • Session type: Wayland

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install and enable the extension
  2. Select a video

Expected Behavior
The video should play on the background I guess.

Actual Behavior
I keep seeing only my current wallpaper image.

Additional Information
Running ./run.sh renderer does nothing, only waits for a moment.
Running ./run.sh log outputs [Hanabi], Hanabi renderer isn't ready yet. Retry after 100ms. repeatedly. Screenshot below:

Hi @hugorplobo,
It seems the renderer had failed to launch. I'll try to reproduce your issue on a virtual machine.

Meanwhile, it'll be a big help if you could check the following for me:

  • Try to disable other extensions, as it could be an extension conflict.
  • Try to disable and then enable the extension after a shell reboot.
