    • Enforced redundancy across frontend and backend, which bolstered data security on forms and role-based permissions
    • Developed boilerplate with React, React-Redux, Axios, Express, Sequelize, and PostgreSQL, which accelerated project launch
    • Conserved time spent on manual testing by refactoring seed data to use persistent references, which increased productivity
    • Designed logo and demo features that welcome prospective users into the core trip task management product

  • StarChart 3D

    -

An interactive night sky map for practicing astronomical orientation in 3D with star location and magnitude, developed using React-Three-Fiber. In this project I evaluated multiple star datasets and incorporated the HYG-Database to pipe into PostgreSQL. I am continuing to add features by building out additional filters for users to apply. Current filters include specific constellation and star color index.

This included a persistent cart for logged in users and browser-stored cart for guest users along with cart conversion from guest cart to member cart.I built dynamic quantity options and item quantity addition for product pages and items in cart and developed utility functions for accurate currency arithmetic to ensure precise and uniform display prices. On the UX/UI side, I designed a wireframe and branding proposal with modern rounded features, gradient, and personalized navigation bar utilized in the final design.

Honors & Awards

  • 2020 Print Logo Design Contest Winner

    Pace Women in Tech Club

I designed a logo for the Pace Women in Tech club with an emphasis on 1980s revival motifs. The goal of the design was to bring attention to the number of women in computer science peaking in the early 1980s and communicate the importance of women raising each other up in order to reach and surpass this peak, set over 35 years ago. The peer-selected design will be used in print materials like stickers during the 2020 academic year.
