THE META-HTML LANGUAGE REFERENCE MANUAL

[TOC] Overview

The Meta-HTML Reference Manual

This document describes the Meta-HTML language, Version 6.11. It constitutes the definitive reference for this version of the language. While the functions described in this manual will continue to operate as documented, there may be new functions or enhancements appearing in future versions of the language which will supersede the functionality that the documented ones provide.

This manual is not a tutorial, or user guide. There is a project underway to create such tools -- a short web-based tutorial exists at http://www.metahtml.org/tutorial; there are code examples at http://www.metahtml.org/examples; there is a complete function index at function-index.mhtml.

I have tried to lay the manual out so that it can be viewed from different angles. Clicking on a top-level section in the Table of Contents below returns a page which contains all of the subsections displayed under that section name. Clicking on a subsection returns only that subsection, but the top of each page allows you to go forward and backwards through the subsections of the manual.

Comments and/or suggestions for improvement on this manual, the language definition, or writing style(!!) should be sent to bug-manual@metahtml.org.
